A recipient of a rare exemption research 56 license, THC BioMed is one of the pioneers to research and study cannabis since its founding in 2012 by John Miller. CULTIVATION

Unlike many LPs, THC BioMed cultivates its flowers in small batches, so everything is closely monitored. Growing in such a highly controlled environment gives the company unparalleled power to regulate all aspects of the growing cycle. The plants are only grown indoors in small rooms with the desired light, temperature, and humidity. Each plant is hand watered. There are absolutely no pesticides, and critters are kept away by physical means and tightly sealed rooms. Every lot is subject to Health Canada’s standardized testing requirements.

The process is mainly done by hand, from cannabis harvesting to live flower trimming. The product is laid to dry on trays and further trimmed by hand. After drying, the flower is cured for several weeks before final inspection, testing, and then packaging. 

THC BioMed’s Landrace strains are proprietary strains with genetics that originated from Africa. For consistency, the plant environment is replicated like its origin to achieve the same growth and development as its original natural habitat.

THC BioMed created its unique strain of Landraces by taking two landrace strains (both sourced from each strain, where they have carefully selected the best performing batch in terms of effectiveness and consistency in results) and creating a hybrid strain. The new strain is then introduced to environments that resemble that of both parents as closely as possible. After being subjected to this environment through several generations, THC BioMed created a hybrid landrace. With this method, our hybrid Landraces have a long-lasting and uplifting effect compared with the rest.
